1. Data we collect

• Account data you provide: nickname, email address, and avatar.
• Gameplay history for Account holders: game type, whether you hosted, start and end times, duration, and whether the game was completed, abandoned, or failed. We also retain an aggregate participant count for each game.
• Feedback data: phrase ratings you submit, together with the game type, room code, and player identifier needed to prevent duplicate ratings.
• Payment metadata from our payment processor (e.g. plan, status, and transaction identifiers). We never see or store your full card number.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, and server logs.
• Guest data: a temporary nickname and gameplay connection state, discarded when the live room ends. Guest nicknames and identifiers are not added to saved gameplay history.

2. How and why we use data (legal bases)

• To provide the Service — connecting you to live rooms, saving Account game history and stats, and syncing Premium across devices (performance of a contract).
• To secure and improve the Service and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
• To evaluate and improve game content using submitted phrase ratings (legitimate interests).
• To send account and transactional emails (contract / legitimate interests).
• To send marketing emails, only where permitted and with opt-out at any time (consent, where required).
• To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax, accounting, lawful requests).

3. Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your identity and preferences. We do not use it to track you across other websites.

4. Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf, including our payment processor (LemonSqueezy), our email provider, our hosting provider, and Google (for sign-in). We require them to protect your data and use it only to provide their service. We never sell your personal data. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. International transfers

We and our providers may process your data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your Account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it, except where longer retention is required by law (for example, billing and tax records). Account-linked game participations are deleted when the Account is deleted. An anonymized game session record may remain for aggregate service analysis; it contains no room code, nickname, or guest identifier.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can edit or delete your profile in Settings, opt out of marketing emails in one tap, and contact us to exercise other rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

8. Security

Connections to Untatú are encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor — we never see or store your card number. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older, subject to the higher age of digital consent that may apply in your country. We do not knowingly collect data from children below the applicable minimum age and will promptly remove any such account we become aware of.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The effective date below reflects the latest version, and we will provide notice of material changes.
